A pant that is both comfortable and chic. Side pockets, wide leg, and mid rise. We love wearing the Fleur pant paired with our box or crop top for the perfect mix of textile goodness.
The various patterns in this garment have all been individually hand block printed throughout the fabric, making each one completely unique.
Fabric: Santi: Blockprint modal, Currant/Camel/Black: Cotton
True to size, model is wearing a small.
Due to the handprinted nature of block print, slight color differences and imperfections between fabrics are expected. These differences enhance the beauty of our textiles and are celebrated. Some natural dyes, especially indigo, may bleed and transfer. We recommend washing gently or with like colors in cold water and air drying.
Designed in Maelu's Portland studio and handmade in India using traditional artisan techniques.
Maker's Story :
''Maelu strives to follow a sustainable business model by not only creating naturally made items but by also making responsible business decisions. Maelu directly supports the artisans in India that block-print the beautiful fabric and also donates a portion of all profits directly to www.globalfundforwomen.org, a non-profit foundation supporting the advancement of women's human rights around the world.
As a second generation Indian American, designer Meghna Dave grew up immersed in her family's Indian culture, while equally inspired by American trends, pop culture, & timeless fashion.
After leaving her corporate life and taking some time to travel through India, she discovered that she longed to keep the vibrant art of her culture alive by mixing historical crafting techniques with new modern patterns and silhouettes.
With all of this in mind she created Maelu - an ethical women’s apparel line designed in Portland and handmade in India using traditional artisan techniques such as block printing, screen printing & hand weaving.
Maelu strives to follow a sustainable business model by making responsible decisions and staying committed to the artisans behind our textiles.
We work directly with our artisans and donate a portion of all profits back into the communities we work with. Our production is done by an NGO in Gujarat that fights for gender equality and empowers women against domestic violence.
Over here, we believe it's 100% possible to look good, feel good and do good.''
